It looks like the poor weather finally caught up to this series, which makes the losses in Games 3 & 5 in Anaheim loom even larger for the Yanks. Joe Girardi has already said that Andy Pettitte is the Game 6 starter regardless, but if the series goes to a seventh game, which would be played on Monday, this means that C.C. Sabathia, who would pitch in the final game of this ALCS, would probably not be available until Game 3 of the World Series (should the Yankees advance), which would be in Philadelphia.
The one good thing that comes from the rain out is that the bullpen has an extra day to rest. I think that this mostly young bullpen has begun to look tired and it has shown in their pitch velocity.
